MEET JENNY, MIKE, AND FAMILY.

It was Autumn of 2014, when Jenny and Mike met on a blind date in New York City. Now years and many chapters later, their passion for plants, nature, and animals have amassed to Lily Pad Acres. They married June of 2024, on the farm.

Our principal & head floral designer, Jenny, inherited her mother’s aptness for art and color theory. Her florals are designed with organic notions, whimsical energy and abundant with the movement of wildflowers. Also an encyclopedia of cut flower and farming knowledge, Jenny has a keen interest in growing and utilizing highly aromatic and edible flowers to elevate your memories made around her designs. She has also amassed a collection of rare dahlias, which are her pride and joy of the farm.

Mike is the backbone of Lily Pad Acres, working behind the scenes to make everything we do possible. With extensive experience in custom fabrication and sign-making, his skills are essential to our operations. He holds numerous titles, including farm manager, master mechanic, plumber, electrician, woodworker, livestock caretaker, groundskeeper, lead harvester, and ripest tomato picker. Without each other's contributions, our work at Lily Pad Acres wouldn’t be where we are today.

Jenny and Mike can not take all the credit for the farm’s success. It was the original vision and work of Diane & Randy Smith who brought Lily Pad Acres from a retired potato farm to where we are today. Together as a family, we’ve curated a space of wonder where farming meets nature, effortlessly.
